Nov 4, 02:33

On November 4, according to The Verge, OpenAI stated that ChatGPT's search query volume has reached 20% of Google's search query volume.

Adam Fry, head of ChatGPT consumer products at OpenAI, said at a media event that the company counts toward this metric queries that trigger a web search after user input, excluding tasks such as word definitions or simple operational instructions. He did not specify the source of the data regarding Google's search query volume.

Fry also noted that OpenAI is exploring a search experience featuring visual, interactive interfaces within chatbot responses, and stated that advertising has not negatively affected the product or usage levels.
