Binance Staff: Affected Wallet System Rebuilt, Withdrawal Volume Comparable to Stolen Amount

Nov 4, 14:37

On November 4, according to a post by Binance employee sisi, Binance has rebuilt the affected wallet system in a new environment, rebuilt its internal AI tools, and tightened permissions; affected devices have been replaced, relevant credentials and tokens have been revoked, and the intrusion point detailed in the report has been sealed.

She stated that within two days of resuming withdrawals, the withdrawal volume was on par with the approximate $6.3 billion stolen, and every withdrawal has been settled. Binance will cover the losses and collaborate with law enforcement agencies and on-chain entities to recover frozen or intercepted funds.

She added that Binance has engaged an independent third-party security firm to conduct an audit, with the conclusions to be made public upon completion. Binance also expressed willingness to share the attack's characteristics with other exchanges.
