On November 6, according to Decrypt, on-chain analytics firm Elliptic stated that of the approximately $6.43 billion in assets stolen from Binance, around $3.11 billion remains in addresses associated with the theft, primarily in ETH and Bitcoin; an additional $2.85 billion has been frozen or seized.
Elliptic stated that money laundering activity to date has involved over 20,000 wallets across 16 blockchains, at least 36 services, and at least 65,000 transactions. The stolen 18,270 BTC have not been transferred since being distributed to 19 addresses on the day of the theft; the nine largest Ethereum addresses holding 89% of the attacker's ETH have also seen no movement since October 30.
