Web3Auth Announces Keplr Asset Recovery Address, Says Some Transfers Were Mistakenly Flagged as Attacks
Nov 8, 21:07
On November 8, according to an announcement from Web3Auth, in response to a security incident involving certain Keplr wallets, Web3Auth, with Keplr's assistance, transferred assets to a secure recovery wallet and published a verified recovery address.
Web3Auth stated that certain related transactions were mistakenly identified as attacker activity; the published address is meant to protect affected assets and is not a wallet controlled by attackers. TechFlow previously reported that Keplr advised users who logged in with Google or Apple to transfer their remaining liquid assets to accounts created via seed phrases or hardware wallets.
