Aethir Launches Daily ATH Burn Mechanism: Network Activity Drives Supply Contraction, Launching Alongside Burn Dashboard in November

Aethir, a decentralized GPU compute network, announced today a systematic upgrade to its ATH tokenomics model. The core changes include the introduction of a daily ATH burn mechanism and the replacement of the current fixed platform fee with a floating network fee. The burn model will go live in November 2026, followed by daily executions.

Burning Mechanism: Business-Driven and On-Chain Verifiable

The core logic of this update directly ties ATH supply contraction to genuine network activity. The sole funding source for daily burns is the network fees collected by the platform from customers, with the burn scale floating in real-time based on compute bookings—the more active the network, the larger the daily burn volume.

Every burn is sent to a public burn address:

0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD

Once sent, tokens are permanently removed from circulating supply and will be instantly reflected in the circulating supply metrics on major tracking platforms. The Burn Dashboard will launch in November alongside the first daily burn, displaying daily, monthly, and cumulative ATH burn volumes along with complete transaction records for anyone to publicly verify. The mechanism has been audited by CertiK.

Floating Network Fee: Bear Market Protection Mechanism

The current fixed platform fee will be replaced by a floating network fee. The new fee is determined by an open formula that reads market conditions via Time-Weighted Average Price (TWAP), leaving no room for human intervention.

Its key design logic is: as markets weaken, fees decrease, and the proportion burned increases. Fixed fees continuously compress operators' actual returns during bear markets, while the floating mechanism provides buffer protection for the entire network through inverse adjustments during periods of revenue pressure. There is no floor on fees, which can drop to zero in extreme downturns.

Cloud Host Rewards: Protected Upper Limit Written into the Formula

Aethir explicitly emphasized in its announcement the protection of interests for GPU compute providers (Cloud Hosts). The floating network fee carries a hard cap: fees will never exceed the value of Cloud Host rewards, an upper limit that is directly hardcoded into the open formula. Any revenue above the cap belongs entirely to the Hosts.

The ATH emission schedule for Cloud Hosts remains completely unaffected. This update only adjusts the fee mechanism applied to these protected rewards, a portion of which will be directed toward burning.

Strategic Synergy with ACCELERATE

The announcement notes that as the ACCELERATE initiative continues to expand compute capacity across the United States and Europe, network activity will further increase in the coming months. Compute revenue generated from each new deployment will be processed through the same fee and burn mechanism, meaning physical infrastructure expansion will directly translate into larger-scale on-chain ATH burns.

Timeline

  • November 2026: The burn model officially launches, with the first daily burn execution
  • November 2026: The Burn Dashboard launches concurrently, tracking all burn records in real-time
  • Executed daily thereafter, with data updated weekly in the official tokenomics documentation

The total fixed supply of ATH remains 42 billion coins, unchanged. Daily burn continuously contracts the net new supply from the issuance side.
