July 27th - Bitcoin mining pool and crypto financial platform EMCD announced the launch of the "Miner Support Program" on July 27th, offering up to $30 million in support to eligible miners, including financing, fee reductions, and hardware and infrastructure cooperation discounts.

Against the backdrop of the program's launch, the Bitcoin mining industry is facing severe profit pressure post-halving. According to CoinShares Q1 2026 data, the Bitcoin hash price has dropped to around $28 per PH/day, a 50% decrease from the October 2025 peak, hitting a post-halving historical low.

Hashrate Index data shows that due to the declining profitability, approximately 252 EH/s of hash rate has exited the market, with a large number of old mining machines forced to shut down due to high operating costs. Furthermore, three consecutive negative mining difficulty adjustments, the first since July 2022, reflect the industry undergoing a large-scale exodus.

EMCD stated that the support program will provide solutions tailored to the operational needs of mining enterprises, including offering a 3.9% annualized liquidity support for miners facing significant funding pressure to help cover their operating costs. Additionally, a 60-day mining pool fee waiver will be introduced to reduce mining expenses.

In addition, EMCD will also offer Vnish firmware discounts to miners using outdated or inefficient mining machines, and through a partner network, provide equipment procurement and data center service support for miners to scale up and migrate hash rate.

Founded in 2017, EMCD currently operates a Bitcoin mining pool covering more than 120 markets, managing over 30 EH/s of hash rate, and ranks among the world's top ten Bitcoin mining pools.
