Coursera Bets $100 Million on Andrew Ng: AI Tutor to Launch in 2027
According to Dynamic Beating monitoring, Coursera will invest $100 million in LearnVector, an AI education company founded by Andrew Ng, acquiring approximately one-third of the company.
LearnVector is preparing to develop AI tutoring. The system will adjust the content based on each individual's learning pace, provide repetitive exercises, and ensure mastery of the knowledge. The first products are planned to launch in early 2027.
Coursera will also provide LearnVector access to course content and its global user base. LearnVector will primarily target working professionals and adults, with no immediate plans for K-12 or higher education involvement.
Andrew Ng is the co-founder and chairman of Coursera. Due to the related-party nature of this investment, Coursera has established an independent board committee to oversee the transaction.
