MoonPay has launched an AI payment tool, PayBox, which supports completing payments directly through ChatGPT and Claude.

July 29th, MoonPay launched the AI payment tool PayBox, allowing users to integrate it with ChatGPT or Claude. The AI assistant can directly handle payment transactions such as booking flights, restaurants, or online shopping. Users can choose to require key approval for each transaction or set limits for the AI to complete autonomously. PayBox integrates a crypto wallet with a payment card, supporting cross-chain transactions based on the x402 intelligent agent payment standard. The initial launch supports Solana and EVM-compatible chains.

MoonPay stated that wallet private keys are protected through multi-party computation (MPC) and trusted execution environments (TEE), preventing any single party from independently accessing the full private key or signing transactions. In the next month, they will further expand support for more AI platforms and DeFi features such as token swaps.
