AI Content Moderation Startup Pangram Raises $9 Million, Led by Menlo Ventures

July 29, New York-based AI detection startup Pangram announced the completion of a $9 million financing round, led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from Haystack, ScOp, Script Capital, and Cadenza.

Pangram also released a new generation AI text detection model, Pangram 4, and an AI image detection model, Pangram Image. The text detection model has an accuracy of over 99% and can recognize AI-assisted writing, hybrid human-machine content, and text generated by AI-powered paraphrasing programs. The image detection model is currently in the research preview stage, utilizing pixel-level distribution analysis to identify AI-generated images across models and detect AI images appearing in real photos.
