ByteDance's Lark: Product Belongs to Duobook, Sales Belong to Volcano Engine

Jul 30, 10:11

According to DeepInsight Beating monitoring, ByteDance has initiated a major restructuring of its ToB business. The Lark product team will merge with the BeanChat product team to form a new BeanChat product team. The head of Lark, Xie Xin, will now report to the head of BeanChat, Zhao Qi.

The sales, marketing, and customer service teams of Lark will be integrated into the Volcano Engine. Both parties will establish a new ToB commercialization organization, the "Creativity Service Platform," jointly responsible for Byte's MaaS, SaaS, and other enterprise services, led by the head of the Volcano Engine, Tan Dai.

Following the restructuring, Lark's existing products and services will remain unchanged. The BeanChat Enterprise Edition, developed by the Lark team, has been in internal testing with some Lark clients. This product can leverage Lark's documents, group chats, meetings, and enterprise knowledge to continue executing complex tasks.

This is ByteDance's largest ToB adjustment since implementing business sectorization in 2021. Subsequently, BeanChat will be responsible for enterprise AI products, Lark will provide the office gateway and enterprise data, and the Volcano Engine will oversee sales and delivery.
