According to Watchful AI monitoring, the human behavior simulation company Simile has completed a $200 million Series B funding round, with a post-money valuation of $20 billion. It trains an "AI doppelgänger" using real human data. Enterprises can simulate how different groups of people would react before implementing products, marketing strategies, and policies.

Simile only debuted five months ago and had previously raised $100 million in a Series A round. The company reported a 5x growth in revenue during this period. The model has run tens of millions of simulations for Fortune 100 companies.

Customers can survey tens of thousands to millions of AI doppelgängers at once. CVS Health has utilized 400,000 doppelgängers to study how to improve medication adherence. Consulting firm Deloitte, polling firm Gallup, and robo-advisor platform Wealthfront are also leveraging this technology.

Simile aims to accurately simulate the behavior of the global population of 8 billion people. However, the accuracy claims are primarily self-reported by the company, and there are still doubts from external sources about whether AI doppelgängers can truly replace real individuals. Currently, it functions more as a rapid screening tool before traditional market research.
