U.S. Stock Futures: Semiconductor, Optical Communication, and Storage Stocks Rise in Pre-market Trading, ALAB and AAOI Both Up Over 8%

July 31st, according to BIT (bit.com) market data, pre-market on Friday, the semiconductor, optical communication, and storage sectors continued yesterday's gains, showing overall strength.

Semiconductor stocks rose across the board, with Marvell Technology (MRVL) up 7.75%, Arm (ARM) up 7.58%, SK Hynix (SKHY) up 7.07%, Intel (INTC) up 5.85%, Lam Research (LRCX) up 5.10%, AMD (AMD) up 4.74%, and KLA Corporation (KLAC) up 4.68%.

Optical communication concept stocks led the gains, with Astera Labs (ALAB) up 8.95%, Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) up 8.42%, Marvell Technology (MRVL) up 7.75%, Coherent (COHR) up 7.24%, Credo (CRDO) up 7.02%, and Lumentum (LITE) up 6.72%.

The storage sector also rose, with SK Hynix (SKHY) up 7.07%, Western Digital (WDC) up 6.44%, SanDisk (SNDK) up 6.25%, Seagate Technology (STX) up 5.44%, and Micron Technology (MU) up 4.56%.
