The Fourth Wave of Coldcard Attack May Have Affected 462 Victims, with 388.93 BTC Stolen

August 3rd, according to Onchain Lens data, the Coldcard hardware wallet vulnerability has resulted in a loss of $88.6 million. So far, there have been four waves of attacks.

First and Second Waves: 1,158.81 BTC belonging to 2,673 victims were stolen;

Third Wave: 207.73 BTC from 293 monitored P2WSH vaults were affected;

The fourth wave is still unconfirmed and may involve 388.93 BTC from 462 victims.
