Survey: Switzerland Cryptocurrency Adoption Reaches 23%, More Than Twice the Rate in Germany
August 3rd, Bearingpoint's latest survey shows that 23% of Swiss adults use cryptocurrency at least occasionally, significantly higher than Austria's 18% and Germany's 11%. In addition, 37% of Swiss respondents believe that cryptocurrency is a worthy investment, 45% believe it could serve as an international trade or reserve currency, and 44% are willing to use Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), all proportions higher than those in Germany and Austria.
The report points out that since the implementation of the DLT Act in 2021, Switzerland has developed a mature crypto ecosystem, with Crypto Valley hosting 1749 blockchain and DLT companies. Meanwhile, Germany plans to leverage traditional banking channels such as DZ Bank and Dekabank to promote cryptocurrency asset services and narrow the adoption gap with Switzerland.
