Cursor Leaks Grok 4.6 Ahead of Schedule, Musk Says Launching This Week
According to Dynamic Beat monitoring, the yet-to-be-officially-released Grok 4.6 briefly appeared today in the Cursor model list. The page referred to it as "Cursor Grok 4.6 Fast." It is primarily aimed at complex, long-running Agent programming tasks. The interface also indicates 256K contexts and a high-effort mode.
However, the model could not be accessed after selection. This seems more like an early leak rather than a formal launch.
Prior to this, Musk stated that Grok 4.6 is a 1.5 trillion-parameter model. The key upgrades focus on supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning. He initially teased a release around August 7 and later mentioned during SpaceX's first earnings call that it might go live this week.
