Codex active users surpass 15 million, OpenAI resets full access for all users

According to Dynamics Beating monitoring, OpenAI's Codex reached over 15 million active users a few days ago. Product manager Thibault Sottiaux announced another reset of usage limits for all users, with the expectation to take effect within about an hour.

He had previously promised that Codex would reset usage limits for all users every time the active user count increased by 1 million, a practice that had been followed since reaching 10 million users. As the user count continued to soar past this milestone, now exceeding 15 million, OpenAI granted an additional reset.
