Oct 8, 18:51

October 8th, according to Taiko official sources, Proposal #39 of the Ethereum Layer2 network Taiko has passed the community veto window and has been executed on both Ethereum L1 and Taiko L2.

This upgrade primarily optimizes the Taiko bridge. After the upgrade, the ERC20Vault of the Taiko bridge now supports Permit and Permit2, allowing users to bridge tokens without initiating a separate Approve transaction, simplifying the token bridging process.

At the same time, the Ether payment Gas limit for the Taiko bridge has been increased to adapt in advance to changes brought by EIP-8037. Additionally, Taiko has deployed a new BridgedERC20V2 template on both L1 and L2.

Taiko stated that the related features have completed end-to-end testing, covering ETH, ERC20, ERC721, and ERC1155 assets, and tested bidirectional bridging scenarios.
