Chainlink launches CCIP Vault Adapters, enabling one-click deposits into DeFi vaults from over 80 chains.

Oct 8, 20:01

October 8: Chainlink has launched a new DeFi solution, CCIP Vault Adapters, allowing DeFi vaults to directly accept user deposits from over 80 blockchains without the need to rebuild vaults on each chain, thereby significantly expanding access to capital, users, and liquidity. The product is now live, and protocols such as Aave, Lombard, United Stables, Veda, and Venus have begun adoption.

Vaults are a rapidly growing vehicle for packaging digital assets and financial strategies into user-friendly DeFi products, with billions of dollars in deposits currently deployed in areas such as stablecoins, lending, yield strategies, digital credit, and tokenized assets. However, as the vault ecosystem expands, issuers face competition from capital dispersed across chains, high-quality vaults are often isolated on a single network, and potential depositors hold assets on other chains. CCIP Vault Adapters is designed to address this structural friction.
