NVIDIA-backed AI infrastructure company Upscale AI launches Token Fabric platform
On October 8, Nvidia-backed AI infrastructure startup Upscale AI announced the launch of the Token Fabric platform, as reported by Reuters. Designed to help customers connect AI chips from different vendors within the same data center, the platform leverages Nvidia Spectrum-X hardware and integrates software to enable cross-vendor AI processor interconnectivity. Upscale plans to release the first version of Token Fabric in the fourth quarter of this year to connect AI chip clusters within data centers, with the full platform expected to be phased in before 2027.
In June this year, Upscale AI closed a $190 million extension round of financing, led by Premji Invest, the venture firm of Indian billionaire Azim Premji, with Nvidia, Salesforce, Singapore’s Temasek, and others participating. This brings the company's total funding to $500 million, valuing it at approximately $2 billion.
