Animoca-backed NUVA launches HOME token, opening the US home equity credit market to non-US investors.
On October 08, according to CoinDesk, the real-world asset (RWA) platform NUVA has launched its tokenized product HOME, allowing eligible non-U.S. investors to participate in a U.S. home equity line of credit (HELOC) asset pool with a minimum investment threshold of 1 USDC and a target annualized yield of 7% (reset monthly).
The token complies with the Ethereum ERC-20 standard, backed by residential mortgage credit originated by fintech company Figure Technology Solutions. Token holders do not hold direct ownership of individual loans but instead maintain pooled risk exposure to the fund's assets, with pricing determined by a net asset value adjusted based on interest income and loan performance. The product features no lock-up period and supports on-demand redemptions (estimated processing time of approximately two U.S. business days), incorporating a 5% liquidity buffer and approximately 5% in first-loss equity tranche to absorb default risk. Additionally, the initial portfolio requires borrowers to maintain an average FICO credit score of at least 735 and a combined loan-to-value (CLTV) ratio not exceeding 69%, with relevant loan metrics disclosed on-chain. The product is currently unavailable to investors in the United States, the United Kingdom, mainland China, and Hong Kong.
