Musk responds to Anthropic with "US airdrop," while the latter's "airdrop" probability stands at 11%.
According to PolyBeats monitoring, on October 18, Anthropic officially announced the "Anthropic Public Interest Fund," stating that approximately 20% of shares will serve public welfare. Since it did not mention the "Trump Accounts" established for American children, public opinion complained that it "did not give directly to the public."
On October 19, Musk responded to Anthropic, advocating to "give shares directly to the public," and announced that next year he would give every American child 1 share of his own SpaceX.
Although Musk did not explicitly say whether it would be distributed through "Trump Accounts," Trump posted on the same day framing the matter as going through the "Trump Accounts" channel and publicly expressed thanks.
Today, the prediction market Polymarket launched a new market: "Anthropic commits before December to donate shares into 'Trump Accounts'" with a probability of 11%.
Settlement as "Yes" requires Anthropic to explicitly commit to donating shares into "Trump Accounts"; if the approximately 5% equity already committed to the fund is roughly calculated based on the approximately $1.5–2 trillion valuation discussed by IPO investors, the paper scale is approximately $75–100 billion.
Those who have currently announced/committed donations to "Trump Accounts" include: Dell co-founder Michael Dell and Susan Dell, donating $6.25 billion; Bridgewater founder Ray Dalio and Barbara Dalio, donating $75m; SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell and spouse, donating SpaceX equity worth approximately $320m.
