Citadel Securities CEO warns: AI bubble is almost a certainty, akin to the eve of the dot-com bubble burst.

October 21: Citadel Securities CEO Griffin stated that investors can almost certainly be sure they are in an AI bubble.

Griffin said on Tuesday local time: "Any technology that fundamentally transforms the economy is usually accompanied by a bubble." He mentioned the market environment before the dot-com bubble burst and some of the "fanciful" business models at that time. He lamented: "I really wish I hadn't sold Amazon stock back then."

Earlier this year, when speaking at Davos, Griffin called AI "garbage." By May, when he spoke to an audience at Stanford Graduate School of Business, he said that everything AI can achieve makes him feel frustrated.
