Beating AI News Flash: Alibaba Cloud has merged its original IQS information query service with CleverSee, unifying and upgrading it into the CleverSee AI search service. Official records show the integration was completed on September 18, with both products unified under the new brand and console, and the simultaneous launch of a new web search API and web Q&A Agent.

CleverSee primarily targets enterprises and AI Agents, attempting to integrate retrieval capabilities across the public internet, industry-specific professional data, and enterprise internal materials into a single product system.

CleverSee is divided into three major sections by information source:

1. Web Search & Q&A is responsible for retrieving from the public internet, returning webpage summaries, body text, and other content, and can also combine with large models for multi-turn search and reasoning to directly generate answers with source citations.

2. Vertical Domain Search & Q&A provides structured industry data. For example, using Amap map data to query nearby hotels and restaurants for addresses, distances, and ratings, or obtaining professional knowledge and reference sources through medical Q&A and health knowledge graphs. Agents can directly use the relevant fields, eliminating the need to crawl webpages and extract information themselves.

3. Enterprise Search & Q&A targets private materials within enterprises such as documents, images, audio, and video. According to the plan published by Alibaba Cloud, the system can process and retrieve data in different formats and combine internal knowledge with real-time public internet information. For example, when enterprise employees query business processes, AI can simultaneously reference internal operating specifications and external public materials. This section is currently still in beta testing.

On pricing, CleverSee's domestic web search Express edition costs RMB 8 per thousand calls, and the Intelligent edition costs RMB 18; the Web Q&A Agent Lite edition, which can directly generate answers after searching, costs RMB 18 per thousand calls.

Alibaba Cloud previously also offered web search through the OpenSearch AI Search Open Platform, while CleverSee integrates the original IQS system; the two belong to different product lines and use independent APIs and billing schemes.
