Tencent launches Buddy One: an AI that searches information across apps, with accounts and points also integrated.

Beating AI News Flash, October 29 — Tencent officially launched Buddy One, integrating WorkBuddy, Tencent Docs, Tencent Meeting, Tencent Drive, and ima into a single AI office system.

After linking accounts, users can directly ask WorkBuddy to search for materials and consolidate information across applications without repeatedly authorizing or copying and pasting. For example, they can have it combine Tencent Meeting minutes, old proposals in Tencent Docs, and the ima knowledge base to generate a new plan with source references attached.

Tencent has also unified its credits system. WorkBuddy credits can be used across Tencent Docs, ima, and Tencent Drive, but credits previously purchased separately in each application will not be merged.

Buddy One VIP is currently listed on the official website at RMB 700 per month, including 50,000 universal credits per month, 1TB of cross-product shared storage, and benefits such as WorkBuddy Flagship Edition, Tencent Meeting Professional Edition, and Tencent Docs Super Member Plus.

The Tencent Drive released at the same time is responsible for providing unified storage. However, what has been implemented so far is mainly account linking, cross-application retrieval, and credit sharing; true cross-application memory sharing has not yet launched. WorkBuddy can be used after upgrading the PC client to version 5.9.0 or above. Account linking is free, but unlinking is not currently supported.
