November 4 — On the 3rd local time, Iran stated that no new progress has been made in the Iran-U.S. negotiations. In addition, various Iranian parties have made intensive statements on the situation, conveying Iran's tough stance: "Iran will never surrender," "The U.S. must respond completely and clearly to the 7 conditions proposed by Iran and implement them, only then will the Strait of Hormuz open," and "Iran is ready for battle and is in a state of highest-level defense."

On the same day, Qatar stated that the U.S. and Iran are studying the proposal put forward by mediators, and both sides remain willing to continue negotiations, but differences still need to be bridged, and there are currently no specific developments that can be announced. Informed sources said Qatari mediators are expected to receive feedback from the U.S. and Iran within the next 36 hours on a new proposal. U.S. President Trump said he does not rule out taking military action against Iran after the midterm elections. (CCTV)
