Clanker Appoints Toady Hawk as CEO, Plans Relaunch With Updated Branding and Features
Nov. 4 — Token issuance platform Clanker has appointed Toady Hawk as its new CEO. In a post on X, Toady Hawk said Clanker was born on Farcaster about two years ago, where users could issue a token simply by posting and tagging @clanker_world. It later expanded to X and at one point became one of the highest-volume token issuance platforms on Base, incubating tokens such as BNKR, DRB and FAIR. He said Clanker recently went through changes including a founder dispute, a sale to Farcaster and a handover to Neynar, and is now taken over by Mask Network.
Toady Hawk said Clanker will work with the engineering team on a relaunch. The priorities he listed include: updating the brand while retaining its distinctive style; aligning features with modern token issuance platforms, such as stock trading pairs and new chain support; rebuilding the trust of developers and traders; and supporting the existing community. Details of Clanker's feature updates and relaunch will be announced later.
