Is ChatGPT launching a family plan? "Family Basic" appears in checkout code.

Nov 4, 16:07

Beating AI News Flash: Tibor Blaho, known as "Baldy" for frequently leaking AI product updates, discovered a "Family Basic" subscription series in ChatGPT's web checkout configuration, including Go, Plus, and three tiers of Pro, with monthly fees of $8, $20, $100, $200, and $500 respectively, consistent with existing individual plan prices.

OpenAI began recruiting product managers responsible for family user experience in July this year. In September, officials also responded to family subscription proposals in the developer community, but did not disclose specific plans.

Currently, ChatGPT already supports parents linking teen accounts, but subscriptions still cannot be shared across accounts. The configuration exposed this time also does not specify how many people the family plan supports or how billing works.
