The US Democratic Party has already won 6 out of 7 swing states.
On November 4, that Democrats have swept six of the seven swing states considered highly competitive in the final stage of the midterm elections.
These six states are Texas, Kansas, Ohio, Iowa, Maine, and Michigan. Texas has not elected a Democratic U.S. Senator since 1988, and Kansas has not done so since 1932; victories in both states are expected to become major upsets in American political history. Ohio, the state where Vance previously served as a U.S. Senator, also failed to reverse the Republican setback. Additionally, Democrats flipped North Carolina and South Carolina, which were originally Republican-leaning, bringing the total number of flipped seats to seven.
As a result, Democrats are expected to secure 54 Senate seats. Due to disputes stemming from candidates sharing the same name, the winner in the last swing state, Alaska, remains undetermined.
