After THORChain Restores Swaps on 11 Chains, All 41 Binance Hacker-Linked Swaps Execute
Nov. 4: According to THORChain's official announcement, THORChain has completed its 3.21.1 upgrade, with swaps restored on 11 chains: AVAX, BASE, BCH, BTC, DOGE, ETH, LTC, RUNE, TRON, XRPL and ZEC. ATOM, BSC and SOL remain suspended. The team said 14 active nodes have still not upgraded to 3.21.1, and all active nodes must complete the upgrade before the swap performance issues can be fixed. It also said the update brings THORChain one step closer to launching Monero.
Crypto KOL Grey Ledger tracked the Binance hacker address flagged by Elliptic and found that within 25 minutes of swaps reopening, all 41 Binance hacker-related swaps were filled, paying out a total of 368.12 ETH, while another 1.327 million TRX was returned to the sending wallet. None of the swap addresses directly matched the FBI list, but the receiving wallets in 25 of them had previously transferred ETH to addresses listed by the FBI. On Oct. 31, the FBI asked THORNode operators to block transactions related to the Binance theft. Grey Ledger said THORChain's current rules still cannot selectively block such transactions as the FBI requested.
