November 4: According to French media outlet Cryptoast, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa has confirmed that it was attacked and that fraudulent transactions were carried out as a result. The bank said the incident is under control and that customers suffered no financial losses, but it did not disclose the amount involved. On-chain investigator ZachXBT estimates the funds involved at no less than $133 million. People familiar with the matter said the attackers first moved fiat currency out, then routed it through "money mule" accounts to platforms such as Crypto.com, where it was converted into crypto assets and laundered. Bitquery data shows that $62.98 million in stablecoins was swapped into 27,553 ETH via UniswapX within four hours, with part of the funds converted into Monero (XMR). Kraken has restricted the related accounts, and Crypto.com has frozen the related funds.
