Nov. 4 — According to Reuters, Australian property company Goodman Group and Digital Realty have offered to acquire up to 9.9% of data center operator NextDC at A$9.50 per share, in a deal worth about A$715 million (about US$499.7 million), a 45.5% premium to NextDC's Wednesday closing price of A$6.53, with JPMorgan leading. The two companies said they currently have no intention to launch a takeover or seek control. NextDC's shares have fallen 45% this year, after about A$140 million in contracted revenue from its Melbourne M3 project was deferred due to delays in grid upgrades.
