Security Alert: Multiple iOS self-custody wallet users report losses; users advised to update to the latest version

November 5th, GoPlus Security issued a security warning stating that the security organization SEAL recently reported multiple incidents of asset losses among iOS self-custodial wallet users, involving several individuals. Users are advised to update their iPhones to the latest iOS version as soon as possible and check their devices for malicious applications. Between October 28 and November 3, six related reports were received, with losses amounting to approximately $127,000, compared to four reports and approximately $434,000 the previous week. The attacks are suspected to be related to iOS exploit tools targeting wallet applications, such as DarkSword and Coruna, with victims primarily from Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan.
