Coincheck suspends cryptocurrency withdrawals due to an external on-chain analytics service outage and cancels some pending withdrawal requests.
On November 5, Coincheck announced that delays in processing cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal requests occurred starting at 0:04 JST on November 5 due to an outage of its external on-chain analytics service. To address the disruption, Coincheck has temporarily suspended new cryptocurrency withdrawal requests, canceled some pending withdrawal requests, and retained other requests for re-review after system restoration.
Coincheck stated that the incident was caused by an external service failure. No unauthorized access occurred on the platform, and there were no security incidents affecting user assets; all custodial assets remain securely held. Assets corresponding to canceled withdrawal requests have been refunded to users' Coincheck account balances, while deposit processing delays continue. The platform will gradually process remaining requests once the relevant systems are restored and will issue a separate announcement regarding the service recovery timeline.
