CAICT Report: China's Daily Average Token Consumption Reached About 500 Trillion in June 2026

October 25 — According to Beijing Business Today, the "Large Model Token Service Performance Monitoring Report (2026)" jointly released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and other institutions shows that in June 2026, China's daily average Token consumption was about 500 trillion, nearly 4 times that of December 2025. Based on data monitoring from January to August 2026, the report compared model performance of original developers and third-party platforms (covering DeepSeek, Qwen, GLM and Kimi).

Core data shows that in August, the average TPS (tokens output per second) of domestic models reached 78.23 (tokens/second), double the 2025 average of 38.25 (tokens/second), but still below the 112.82 (tokens/second) of typical foreign models. On service pricing, the normalized average price of domestic model services has risen to 13.46 yuan since 2026, nearly doubling, but remains far below the foreign average of 117.8 yuan.
