JAN3 CEO: 600 BTC to Be Transferred to Liquid Federation Wallet Within Days, Test Transaction Completed

October 28: JAN3 CEO Samson Mow posted that a test transaction of 2.5 BTC has been sent to the Liquid Federation wallet, bringing the reserve shortfall down to 600 BTC. The remaining 600 BTC will be transferred to the wallet within the coming days. All network operations continue to run normally.

In addition, Liquid Network posted that, as part of a phased recovery, BTC and LBTC swaps were re-enabled last week. Users can once again swap 1:1 between BTC on Bitcoin and LBTC on Liquid through participating providers such as AquaBitcoin, BULLBITCOIN and side_swap. Before the incident, these providers together accounted for 99% of peg-out volume. Normal federation peg-out operations remain subject to enhanced operational controls, security hardening is continuing, and an independent security audit is nearing completion.
