USDT0 Freezes 6.18 Million USDT0 in Binance Hack Incident; Tether Has Frozen Over $1.3 Billion in USDT

October 30: According to disclosures from USDT0 co-founder zerolore, following the hack on Binance, USDT0 froze 6.18 million USDT0 that the attacker stole on Polygon. Shortly after the hack was confirmed, USDT0 suspended the cross-chain channel between TRON and Ethereum while monitoring all networks together with KYT and compliance partners. About 20 minutes later, the team detected a new round of theft on Polygon, and multisig signers completed the freeze before the attacker could convert the funds into assets that cannot be frozen. After Tether froze most of the stolen USDT (over $1.3 billion), USDT0 restored transfers between TRON and Ethereum. zerolore said monitoring remains on high alert and cross-chain transactions may experience temporary delays.
