Google DeepMind Study: AI Collaboration Capability Is the Key Driver of Economic Transformation

Oct 30, 18:56

October 30: According to DeepMind Institute, Google DeepMind researchers Alex Imas, Andrew Koh, and co-founder Shane Legg wrote that improvements in individual AI capabilities will only gradually affect wages and prices. Only when multi-agent collaboration capability crosses the "super-collaboration" threshold will market concentration, employment, and wages undergo abrupt changes. The article divides AI development into four stages: minimal AGI, supercompetent AI, supercollaborative AI, and ASI. It notes that current AI is strong in individual capability but weak in collaboration, and that changes in wages and jobs will appear before changes in corporate structure. The authors call for establishing benchmarks to measure multi-agent organizational capability.
