US Secret Service: Working with Circle and Others to Freeze and Recover Stolen Binance Funds

October 31 — According to CNN, a U.S. Secret Service spokesperson said the agency's investigators are working around the clock with private-sector partners including Circle to identify, freeze, track and recover the stolen Binance funds; they are also closely coordinating with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia and law enforcement partners to identify the relevant cybercriminals and bring them to justice. Reuters previously reported that Binance is working with the FBI and the Secret Service to investigate a cryptocurrency theft involving $6.3 billion.
