Claude Renames Max 20x to Ultra and Removes Its 5-Hour Usage Limit

October 31: Claude posted on X that it will rename its Max plans: Max 5x becomes Max, and Max 20x becomes Ultra, with prices remaining at $100 and $200 per month respectively, and existing subscribers need take no action. In addition, effective today, the 5-hour usage limit for verified Ultra accounts is being removed, initially covering most existing subscribers; newer accounts will retain temporary limits until verification is completed to prevent fraud and abuse, and will receive an email notification when the limits are lifted. Weekly usage limits remain unchanged.
