Scroll Proposes Pivot to Permissioned Privacy-AI Network, Plans to Migrate SCR to Ethereum Mainnet
Nov 4 — According to the Scroll governance forum, Scroll has released a protocol upgrade proposal requesting the DAO to approve two items together: transforming the network into a permissioned application-specific network for privacy AI, and migrating SCR to Ethereum mainnet. If the proposal passes, the Scroll Foundation will lead implementation. The new network will support AI products such as Compass, CENO, and USX, serving private interactions, credential management, agent workflows, and payment settlement. The proposal states that SCR's supply and tokenomics remain unchanged, and that its governance function will be retained. The network upgrade is planned for the end of the year, and cross-chain bridges will still be supported after the upgrade.
