World's First Bionic Humanoid Robot News Anchors Officially Unveiled

November 5 — According to Xinhua News Agency, at the Forum on AI and Chinese Modernization at the Seventh World Media Summit, the world's first bionic humanoid robot news anchors officially made their debut. The robot news anchors unveiled this time are named "Xinyan" and "Xinyu", jointly developed by Xinhua News Agency and UBTECH, with Chinese director Zhang Yimou serving as chief designer of their appearance, and custom-built for news scenarios. Both robot news anchors are replicated at a 1:1 human scale, and are built on Xinhua's AI current-affairs information intelligent agent "Xinhua Yudian" as well as UBTECH's full-chain proprietary technology spanning bionic skin, embodied intelligence hardware, operating systems, emotional large models and complete-unit mass production manufacturing, giving them the ability to appear on camera and broadcast live.
