On October 13, according to official announcements, Payy has launched a claims process for affected users following the cross-chain bridge contract theft on September 24, with a submission window lasting 30 days. Compliant claims will be paid out in USDC on the Ethereum network. Additionally, Payy Wallet is currently suspended and will be completely shut down once the claims window expires.

Payy stated that to verify the scale of affected funds, users are required to input their Payy Wallet mnemonic phrase when completing the claim form, citing its privacy architecture design as the reason. Previously, on September 24, Payy’s cross-chain bridge contract deployed on Ethereum was attacked, resulting in the complete drain of the contract’s funds. Subsequently, the team halted all Payy Network transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and card payments.

Previous Report: On September 24, privacy stablecoin payment network Payy Network confirmed that its Ethereum bridge contract was hacked, resulting in losses of approximately $1.8 million.
