Analysts: Bitcoin long-term holders' cost basis is $48,600, with unrealized profits reaching 72%
On October 13, CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler Jr. stated that Bitcoin long-term holders (LTH) have remained consistently profitable since January 2023. With Bitcoin currently trading around $83,600, this represents a 72% premium over the LTH average cost basis of $48,600, leaving a substantial unrealized profit cushion.
Data indicates that the average cost basis for long-term holders peaked at $49,500 on July 30 and has cumulatively declined by 1.7%. The current 7-day change rate stands at -0.06%, reflecting a mild overall reduction in supply. If this rate turns positive, it would signal renewed accumulation by the group; if Bitcoin falls below $48,600, the group will transition into an unrealized loss position.
