Justin Sun: From Studying Alone at Age 9 to Steering TRON, "Ultimate Solitude Is Also a Form of Freedom"

Oct 14, 21:05

On October 14, TRON founder Justin Sun recently gave an exclusive interview to Bonnie Blockchain, rarely sharing his personal growth experiences and industry insights.

Justin Sun revealed that he was sent to boarding school by his parents at age 9, followed by their divorce, forcing him to live independently from then on. He described this experience as "extreme loneliness is also a form of freedom"—most people do not truly make decisions for themselves until they are 18, or even 30, whereas he began at age 9. This exceptionally early independence fostered the core mindset behind his subsequent "reckless" actions, such as spending $6.2 million on an exorbitantly priced banana, committing to a lunar voyage, and bidding for Warren Buffett's lunch.

Justin Sun issued a warning regarding Quantum Threat Day (Q-Day), noting that once quantum computers crack Satoshi Nakamoto's early public keys, approximately 1 million BTC could be released, causing a devastating market impact, yet institutions like those on Wall Street and BlackRock severely underestimate this risk. Compared to the sluggish upgrades within the Bitcoin community, TRON has already deployed NIST post-quantum cryptography standards on its testnet.

Justin Sun also launched the "Justin Sun Award," utilizing a vulnerability bounty model to instantly reward significant mathematical breakthroughs regardless of whether participants are human or AI, with OpenAI already being the first to claim one of the top prizes.
