On October 20, according to The Independent, UK digital bank Revolut experienced a widespread service outage, affecting not only the app but also card payments at physical stores. In a post on X, Revolut stated that multiple functions are currently experiencing outages, some services may be inaccessible, and an engineering team is working hard to restore them while apologizing to users for the disruption. On social media, users from the UK, France, Spain, and other regions reported being unable to make payments or transfers. As of this report's publication, Revolut's official system status page still displayed all systems as "operational", and it remains unclear whether the outage affected all users.
