Oct 21, 17:00
On October 21, according to Caixin, just four days after the UK High Court ruled that Chinese law applies to the property rights dispute over more than 60,000 Bitcoins in the Qian Zhimin case, approximately 16,000 Chinese victims involved in the UK recovery process have been granted the opportunity to continue challenging this ruling. The UK High Court has held another hearing, and judges approved the Chinese victims' appeal against the October 12 ruling on applicable law. Lawyers for all parties also discussed issues such as the litigation costs related to the previous dispute over applicable law, whether the roughly 16,000 individual applicants will continue their claims, and how to opt out of the proceedings.
