National Information Security Vulnerability Sharing Platform Publishes Advisory on PHP Vulnerability Remediation: Operators of Information Systems Should Conduct a Comprehensive In

On October 24, the National Information Security Vulnerability Shared Platform (CNVD) issued the "Security Bulletin on Analysis and Remediation Recommendations for PHP Remote Code Execution Vulnerabilities," noting that affected users should closely monitor official information, download and upgrade to the latest version via official channels. Users currently unable to update should take measures to reduce certain attack vectors and mitigate vulnerability threats, continuously monitor for behaviors such as abnormal PHP process terminations, unexpected system command executions, creation of unfamiliar processes, and anomalous file writes, while retaining logs for traceability analysis.

In its remediation recommendations, CNVD stated that operators of information systems should further strengthen security protection, comprehensively inventory their organization's network assets, and reduce the public attack surface of their information systems in accordance with the principle of keeping non-essential systems offline; operators temporarily lacking patching capabilities should implement interim measures such as network isolation, access restrictions, and taking non-essential business systems offline.
