On October 30, according to Bitcoin.com News, the London Metal Exchange (LME) stated that it is exploring tokenizing metal inventory held under unregistered warrants to support business financing. The exchange said it plans to issue tokens backed by metal reserves, which may be placed under third-party custody for loans and other obligations when necessary; such metals under unregistered warrants previously lacked standard financing options. The LME noted that it is currently in the early exploration phase and will communicate with stakeholders as plans are developed.
