Flap founder: The risk only applies to users who visit suspicious websites and connect their wallets or sign approvals.

Oct 31, 11:11

On October 31, the founder of Flap posted on X detailing the impact scope of the official website domain incident.

He clarified that the risk is limited to users who accessed the malicious website and connected their wallets or signed approvals within the several tens of minutes before the announcement was issued. Users who had previously connected to the FLAP official website normally are unaffected by this incident and do not need to switch wallet addresses.

The Flap founder also emphasized that FLAP does not store users' private keys, mnemonic phrases, or wallet data, and this information is never kept on the FLAP backend. Until the issue is resolved, users should temporarily avoid visiting the official website. Once the site is restored, the team will post an update through their official accounts.

For users who recently connected their wallets on the malicious website, the Flap founder advised reaching out via direct message for assistance.
