Tether Freezes Over 4.5 Million USDT Involved in Mercado Bitcoin Security Incident

On November 2 that according to Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, Tether has frozen over 4.5 million USDT related to the Mercado Bitcoin security incident.

Mercado Bitcoin had previously stated that a security incident occurred in one of its systems, resulting in no customer losses or data breaches; as a precaution, the platform has temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals.
